The ECS Academy provides a range of services, which you can access by contacting the academy coordination staff at ECSA, at ECSAcademy@ecsa.ngo

Hosting Materials

Hosting and sharing training material in citizen science: these can be stored in the ECS Academy area on Zenodo, and catalogued in the EU-Citizen.Science resources.

Hosting Courses

You can create a course directly here or migrate an existing one. The first step is to reach out to the ECS Academy team with this document filled out.

Training Assistance

Assisting you in designing and creating a training resource in citizen science, including support on implementation of the course material on the learning management system. *

Course Promotion

Promoting your course and resources to the network of educators and learners and other ECSA members through the newsletters.

Paid Course Support

Support the running of paid courses in citizen science - these can be based on the available online courses by providing the support of an experienced instructor as well as tailored courses to serve your needs. *

Network Access

Access to the network of educators and trainers in citizen science which the ECS Academy maintains.

Competency Framework

Support in creating courses that are recognised within the Citizen Science Competency framework (CitSciComp) that ECSA has developed. *

Learning Evidence

Provision of evidence of learning in the form of badges and certificate of completion with the different courses that are provided by the ECS Academy. *

Learning Pathways

Support and advice on the development of pathways and lifetime learning for citizen science practitioners and researchers.

Cost-Associated Services

Please note that the services that are denoted with (*) involve costs which need to be covered through a mutual discussion (e.g. by agreement on the price of a course and the payment to ECS Academy staff).
