Why co-creation matters?

When different perspectives come together to test and adapt ideas, solutions become more robust and sustainable. In R&I contexts, co-creation helps translate research insights into action, enabling communities, policymakers, and innovators to jointly shape interventions that respond to real societal needs. It builds trust, shared responsibility, and capacity for collaborative problem-solving.

What is co-creation?

Co-creation goes beyond consultation: it’s about working together to create, prototype, and validate solutions. By engaging end-users, practitioners, and stakeholders in the implementation phase, co-creation produces tangible outputs such as prototypes or new processes. It strengthens ownership, increases the chances of real-world uptake, and helps ensure that innovations are both feasible and widely accepted.
